Radar Log Alpha: Token Extensions & ZK Compression Research
The first week of the Radar hackathon has seen good progress in both technical development and strategic positioning. On the technical front, we've upgraded our infrastructure to Anchor 0.30. We've been postponing this upgrade for a while now, because one key promise of GLAM is to make metadata available onchain, and no explorer supported the new anchor IDL format.
A few days ago, Solscan announced support so we jumped on the opportunity. The upgrade also makes it a bit easier to support Token Extensions, and thus we expanded our token functionality, implementing support for five extensions: Metadata Pointer, Mint Close Authority, Default Account State, Transfer Hook, and Permanent Delegate.
Our smart contract development has made significant strides. We've successfully tested and implemented the Default Account State extension, and developed various policies through the Transfer Hook extension, notably including lock-up period functionality. These developments have been complemented by progress in our web application, where we've worked on core features with a particular focus on subscription and redemption logic and advanced staking capabilities.
Research initiatives have also begun in earnest. We're exploring ZK Compression technology and investigating methods to track large lists of known/trusted assets, including metadata, tags, etc. These explorations are crucial for our ongoing development and future innovations, especially to provide richer sets of policies to our users.
On the strategic front, we've engaged in productive technical discussions with a prospective customer. These conversations have covered key areas such as regulatory alignment, onchain strategies, and governance.
Finally, we've secured early access to the Colosseum Hackathon Arena at BreakPoint. We're excited to leverage this opportunity for industry networking and collaboration.
